This series of newspaper articles on the townships and their history was published in the Bradford Reporter between 1883 and 1885. Typical of the period, it is very male focussed and even when women were interviewed by the reporter, they were interviewed about their husbands or fathers and not about themselves or their own lives. Nevertheless it gives us one of the few glimpses we have into a segment of the population. We'll just have to work harder to find out about the women. As we locate more articles, they will be included. Some of them are permanently lost. You can reach individual township pages, which also include these articles, from Bradford County Townships
