½ cup sour milk

Filling

yolk of one egg

2/3 cup of chopped raisins
1 cup of boiling water
Put sugar with flour and yolk of egg and wet with cold water to a cream
then add raisins, then boiling water
Set on Stove and thicken - season with vanilla

Mayonaise
3 eggs beaten light

Mix dry

to dry mixture beat in egg
1 cup of vinegar or (1/3 water)

Put to boil until thicken

3 gallon crock1/2 pound of salt another handful of salt
½ pint of vinegar
6 quarts of water
a few spices mixed
put dill mixed spices
grape leaves in bottom of crock
fill crock within 2 or 3 inches of top of crock with pickles let stand 14 days 
pack pickles in jars
heat brine 
let it cool and pour in jars
if scum comes on- clean off

Cool

bring to good boil

let come to a boil

Indian relish
12 green tomatoes
1 red pepper
1 cup of sugar
4 large onions
1 green pepper
2 cups of vinegar
1 tablespoon celery seed
1 tablespoon mustard seed

Chop vegetables - drain and mix throught
cook slowly- stirring frequently
seal in sterilized jars

Soft Soap
Dissolve 1 can of lye in 3 pints rain water
add 2 oz of borax and 1 half cup full amonia 
take 2 2/3 qts grease and heat until lukewarm
when lye liquid gets lukewarm
pour gradually into the grease
stirring ten minutes
pour into pans and cut before it sets

For pneumonia
½ cup lard
½ cup turpentine
1 oz of camphor gum
put in a bottle and use hot
