Joyce's Search Tip - December 2007 -
 |
Do You Know that you can search just the
600 pages of Tioga County Cemetery Records on the site by using the Cemeteries
-Tioga button in the Partitioned search engine at the bottom of the
Current What's New Page? If
you use that partition follow these steps to search just one cemetery.
1. Choose Cemeteries - Tioga.
2. Enter part of the cemetery name [ie Newbury or Furman] AND a surname.
3. Choose the Find ALL Words option. Then it will find just the pages
with that surname in the one cemetery you indicated. |
|
|
This cemetery was recorded by Donna Allen,Wendy & Eileen Baker. Completed
Sept .20 ,2003. Due to recent storms a tree had fallen on some of
the stones and info on those was impossible to get. A few stones are worn
and unreadable. Because of the wet weather several areas had standing water
and the bugs were terrible. If visiting go with plenty of bug repellant.
Approximately 165 names have been added [to the 1968 listing] with several
missing dates filled in.

hi Joyce.
I, finally, had time to peruse a few pages...(school not quie over
yet) on the site, and found a mistake for sure---or else I died and have
been looking down on the world and that cemetery from above!!
Maude Dewey Feig did not die until the 1990s sometime...I quite think=around
1992. but certainly not 1902---as I do well remember her....She played
piano (as I do) until she was in her 90's (unlikely I contain the same
gene, however) albeit i bear a strong resemblance in my wrinkled, arthritic
hands. She was my granddad;sister..
i found the newspaper article that some kind Galeton friend sent me....She
died Sat. August 1, 1992, age 98, at Charles Cole Mem hosp. in Coudersport.
Hope all is well with you......I willl send a bit ASAP. Your site is
one of the few joys of my life! Keep in touch....Marylyn (Dewey Adams)
