1873 13 May D Dimmick (Dimock), Mr. Wm Nobles d. on May 5th the Township of Clymer in 66th yr it is because of the tragic mortality of this family that this notice is written and will be of interest to the public. (to fortune & fame unknown) they lived most of thier lives on the Manchester farm near the little pine creek church, working for others and raising a family of 4 boys.  A few years ago they removed to Clymer twp where they bought a small farm.  Surviving are mother and 1 son.  The first son Edwin d. & is buried in the Soldier's cemetery at Gettysburg, he served in capt. Sofield's co. A. 149th regt & on 1st da July 1863 int he 1st hour of that carnage a cannon ball took him & his capt to the other world.  A bro. Calvin went as a sub & d. of Malaria in N.C. 3rd son on the 17th of July 1867 was chopping alone in a fallow near his home when he didn't return home they looked & found him dead.  The father died while at work on the road he was found with his grub hoe close by.
