10 minutes of each other, The wife died first——for nearly half a century
they lived and toiled together. A family of ten children had been born
to them, seven of whom are now living. Funeral services were conducted
by the Rev. C. Weeks, of Knoxville and Rev. A. Ensign, of this place. |

Elmira Advertiser - - - A "Double Golden Wedding," which was celebrated
at Millport, N.Y., on the 7th inst., the couples were married on the same
day and by the same minister. They were Mr. & Mrs. John Denson, of
Millport, N.Y., and Mr. & Mrs. Bostwick Bement of Jackson, Pa. On December
7th 1825, these gentlemen respectively espoused the two step-sisters, Miss
Christiana C. Coston and Miss Philana Tanner, they were married at the
house of George Tanner, who had married the widow Coston, and lived a mile
from the village of Trumansburg, Tompkins County, N.Y. |

Fellows, Rev. Nathan |
Died—Rev. Nathan Fellows, died in Mansfield,
Pa., Feb. 26th aged 68. For 38 years he was engaged in the work of the
ministry, in the Genessee, and East Genessee Conferences, of the Methodist
E. Church. In his conference, he occupies a prominent position. He was
Presiding Elder of the “Wellsboro District”, from 1848 to 1851, and afterwards
Pastor of the M.E. Church, in Towanda, and in Tioga. In 1869, through illness,
he was obliged to relinquish his charge and has resided since at Tioga
and Mansfield. His funeral was held in the Methodist Church, Tioga, on
Monday last. Remarks, illustrative of his character, and recollections
of his life and labors, were furnished by Rev’s H. Lamkin, T. Stacey, H.S.
Parkhurst, and E.I. Herman. Burial in Cemetery at Tioga. |

house of George Tanner, who had married the widow Coston, and lived a mile
from the village of Trumansburg, Tompkins County, N.Y. |
