Stotthoff, L. T. |
Died—The citizens of Wellsboro were painfully
shocked this morning to learn of the accident resulting in the death of
L.T. Stotthoff, of Antrim. Mr. Stotthoff was in Wellsboro last evening.
This morning he went home by the early train and as we hear Mr. Stotthoff
was standing on a flat car when the train started up suddenly, throwing
the deceased to the track, the break of the car pushed him along some distance
to the track and finally the car passed over him. The deceased only lived
about 20 minutes after the arrival of the physician. His sister was with
him during his terrible sufferings. He was a brother-in-law of Genl. Magee.
The deceased was well and favorably known in Wellsboro, and great sympathy
