HARRY BAILEY ET UX DEED TO A.J. DRAKE

This indenture made the twenty-six day of March AD one thousand eight hundred and sixty Between Harry Bailey and Amanda Bailey of the first part and A J Drake of the second part Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars lawful money of the United States to me in hand paid by the said party of the second part at or before the ensealing and delivering hereof the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge and thereof acquit and forever discharge the said party of the second part his heirs executors and administration by those present have granted bargained sold realeased and confirmed and by these presents do ---sell ---onto said party of the second part and to his heirs -----all that contain lot price or parcel of land lying and being in Township of Granville and State of Pa. and bounded as follows Beginning at a post in the center of the road at the North west corner of a lot deeded by Scovil Bailey to Nelson Phinney  then South twenty rods East --eight rods to a post in the line and at the corner of a lot known as the widow Niles lot thence South about forty four rods to a post in the creek at the north east corner of a lot deeded to Robert Bailey by G F Mason thence west to a corner in the line of said Bailey to the southeast corner of another lot  owned by the aforesaid R Bailey thence north to the center of the main road and to the corner of a lot deeded to Joseph Clark by R Bailey or to Dunham Ropgr thence east to the place of beginning containing sixteen acres more or less. Together with all and singular the rights----belonging to in any wise appertaining and the revisions and remainders rents and profits, and all the estate right in the interest of said parties of the first part of the same. -----To the second part -----promise and agree to and with said  parties---

Best remembered that on the 26th day of March AD 1860 personally appeared before the subscriber one of the justices of the peace in and for said county Harry Bailey and Amanda Bailey his wife the aboved named grantors and acknowledged to foregoing indenture to be their deed for the purpose therein contained. She the said Amanda Bailey being of full age and by me examined separate and apart from her husband and the full contents thereof being first made known to her acknowledged that she executed the same of her own free will and accord without any coercion or compulsion on the part of her said husband.
