June 02 Remaining Brussels Sprouts, Cauliflower, Broccoli to newly plowed garden. Unbroken sod clogs tiller. Large peat pots yield best results. Do not crowd roots so much when planted late. Use for peppers next year, too.

Summary - October 2-  Very Dry year - had maybe 4 inches of rain ALL summer. Then September 27 -28 got 3 full inches and more coming every day in small amounts. New trees planted had a hard time - wilted, releafed, wilted again. Abundance of peppers. Tomatoes good, lots of basil..

Cold Frame Apr 01/02 - Outside temp well below freezing, small amount of snow. Have heat pad - styrofoam insulation and sleeping bag/rug. Internal Temp stayed 39/40.

April 02 - Overnight low of 13 deg. Cold frame low was 32 with above conditions.

Last Week of September - MORE Peppers October 2- Frost tonight? We are ready.
All the big gourds and most of the small ones will be left on the vine - trellis until at least December or later. These either fell off or were on the ground, so I collected them. Will dry for crafts.
