John S. Parke. A former Trojan, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Parke of Elmira, who went to France as Supply Sergeant with Co. L., of the National Guard. Was on the Mexican border and trained at Camp Wadsworth, Spartanburg, S. C. (June 13, 1918 issue)

Corporal John S. Parke Wounded. Corporal John S. Parke, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Parke formerly of Troy, reported among the Company L, Elmira casualties, was wounded Sept. 28th. In letters written from Oct. 10th to 14th from the Kitchener hospital at Brighton, England, he reports himself on crutches from a bullet wound, but hoping soon to be back on the firing lines.
