Since the Thank You notes  I receive regularly  should rightly be seen by the other volunteers as well as me, I'll include some here as they come in.
I just had to stop and say thank you! I have been working on my family tree for a few months now, and more often than not, links all seem to lead me to your site. It seems that every little branch of the family has been from somewhere in that area. I currently live in Florida so you can understand that I have your site book marked. :) I still have many family members in that area (Stueben County) but I don't have to wait for anyone to go digging through an attic or basement when I get a good deal from your site. I was recently searching the internet for Reuben Daggett and came up with your site yet again. I had to take the time to express my appreciation for all that you have done.
Thanks again,
Melissa

Dear Joyce,
I just discovered your website!  I was so excited to read about my grandparents, uncle, aunts, great great grand parents.  I had to contact my mother. My grandparents were Lawrence and Ellen Baxter Jennings. My aunt Joy Jennings still resides in Troy! My mother was thrilled to hear of all the work put into this website. I used to travel to the cemetery and the "little house" with my family for the memorial day events. Just a thanks for a great job!

13 JAN Joyce,
I accidently came upon your web site while googling.
My name is Linda Marie Stevens .My father Martin Stevens had a farm in Standing Stone.
When I read all of my friends that I had went to school with, I became so sad, and so glad that someone could recognize them for the good people that they are.
Keep up the good work, I will look back every now and again.
Thanks again,
I needed to remember where I came from.

I found your website very helpful.  I am developing the family history of
the Cross/Rogers family and specifically am interested in the family of
Phineas and Ruth Rogers, their son Hawley Bunce Rogers(also shown as H.B.)
and his son Irvine also spelled Ervin.
Your photos are beautiful.  It does look like a lovely place to settle.  I'm
interested in why they decided to leave North Salem and trek more than 200
miles to re-settle in Chemung, probably around 1810, possibly before.
I'm sure I will return to your site many times.  Thank you, Margaret
Greetings Joyce,
Nice to "meet" you. My name is Kevin G. I believe I came across your Tri-Counties Genealogy & History website a while back by typing "Bradford County history" in a search engine and was simply amazed by it when I got there! I only hope I live long enough to explore all its nooks and crannies.

See  Also PARTITIONED search engine to search just sections of the site. -- Below
Use the Drop Down Windowto search selected areas of site for Obituaries and other slected information
These represent directories in the site's structure. Clipping section includes scrapbooks of obituaries, marriages, gossip, etc. It also includes new obits where the cemetery is not identified. The Obit by cemetery pages are by county BUT obits may be on an obit by cemetery page OR in the Clipping - scrapbook section. Check both. Also remember that people are often buried in a different county than the one in which they lived or died. Another point to be aware of is that some of the very small cemeteries that have few obits will have the obits on the cemetery listing page. They will be missed by this partitioned search of just the obituary directories. They will show up on the search which covers the entire site or the burials.
If you do not click the drop down list, you will think this is just the same form of the search engine we have had for several years. It is NOT - It is a major enhancement of its utility which I will develop further depending on positive feedback I do or do not get. At this point it partitions the obituaries and cemetery listings only. While obits are added daily, the search engine in not reindexed that frequently. Added obituaries will only register when the search engine is reindexed.
Here is an IMPORTANT tip - If you use a DATE restriction in your search, be aware that refers to the date I last changed a particular page - It is a file date, NOT a date for an event.

This PARTITIONED Search engine HERE is your most valuable tool for getting maximum results from this Tri-Counties Site.

I do not have control over what or when Google indexes the site. It will always be behind and it may take weeks for new pages to be included in the Google Index. Be cautious in using it for this site, and understand its limitations. The PICO search engien above is categorized and is indexed when I tell it to.

AS of 24 JAN Google has indexed about 10,000 of our 16,000 pages. it is still not fully representing the site's content.
