Age 92 of Apollo Beach Florida formerly of Elmira, NY, died on Tuesday July 5, 2011 in Sun City, FL. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Barbara (Ernest) Kiemle of Red Creek, NY, Jean Huggins of Apollo Beach, FL; grandchildren, Cindy (Mark) Malchoff, William (Karen) Kiemle, David (Sandra) Kiemle, Tammy Huggins, Timothy (Wendy) Kiemle and Bart Huggins; along with 8 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Maida was predeceased by her husband L. G. Weston Brown in 2003. She worked at Remington Rand Corp. and Westinghouse Electric Corp. While at Westinghouse Maida worked on the Lunar Camera Tube Program which was used to televise pictures of mans first steps on the moon. She was chosen to greet and present an award to Astronaut, Hank Hartsfield and in return he presented her with a signed picture and letter of thank you from him. She loved cooking and feeding family and friends. The Family will receive friends at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira/Southport on Tuesday July 12, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with Funeral Service following Wednesday at 1:00 PM. She is survived by her son, Lewis Clearwater; grandchildren, Jessica Clearwater (Brent), Pete (Julie) Clearwater, Anthony (Lindsay) Clearwater, Patrick Clearwater, Deanna (Jeff) Denierio, Grace (Ken) Elston, Laura Fox, David Pellor, Chris Pellor; 11 great-grandchildren; long time special friend, Florence Yeska. Jean retired from St. Joseph's Hospital after of 30 years of service. She was a Yankee fan and a great mother and grandmother. It was Jean's wish that no services be held. She was a graduate of EFA in Elmira and a longtime Chef and Caterer having worked at the Elmira Casmir Grotto, Elmira Elks and Horseheads Holiday Inn. Barbara is survived by her husband, Richard La Fever; son and daughters, Clint (Debbie) LaFever of Lacey, WA, Julie (Kris) Stauff of Abrahams, WI, Cindy (Charles) Archer of Vacaville, CA and Lynn (Charles) Huggins of Las Vegas, NV; five grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Sherman H.Cady in 1966 as well as 7 brothers and 4 sisters. Margaret was a hairdresser for 50 years and was the first hairdresser in Webb Mills, NY. A Charter Member of the Webb Mills Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, she also was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star Rebecca Lodge, and a member of the Hair   Dresser's Association.  Ida M. Dunbar, 85, of Elmira, NY, died Saturday, November 9, 1991 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. She was a member of the Golden Link Rebekah Lodge #128 and of the Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church.  She worked for many years for Meals on Wheels. She is survived by her husband, Russell M. Dunbar Sr.; sons and daughters-in-law, Harold L. and Linnea Dunbar of Horseheads, NY and Francis E. and Prudence Dunbar of Winton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Joann D. and William Caloroso of Nichols, NY; daughter-in-law, Martha Dunbar of Elmira; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Ida was predeceased by her son, Russell M. Dunbar Jr. and a grandson. Services were held at the Olthof Funeral Home in Elmira on November 12 with the Rev. Kleiner of Elkland, PA, William C. and Vivian L. Carpenter of Monroe, MI, Lillian D. and Alan D. Comfort of Pine City, NY, Merle and Gayle Carpenter of Elmira, NY and Erma and Neal Corey of Elmira Heights, NY with whom she resided; three brothers, several grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford G. Carpenter Sr., in 1977 and two children. Services were held at the Barrett Funeral Home on April 17 with the Rev. Alberta was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and was involved in many of the activities of the church. Age 90, formerly of East Ave., Elmira, died Thursday, August 7, 2008, at Bethany Manor. She was predeceased by her husband, Grover in 1983; and is survived by her children, Helen (Claude) O'Dell, Elaine (Harvey) Rosekrans, Joann (LaVern) Mallacoccio and Edward (Cheryl) Stedge, all of Elmira, Linda (Charles) Burge of Beaver Dams, Anna Neily and Robert Stedge, both of SC, Grover (Debbie) Stedge of PA, Sandra (William) Keegan of FL, and Mark (Sue) Stedge of MD. Helen has many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira, on Sunday, August 10th, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Her funeral and committal services will follow at 8 p.m. Rev. Robert Adkins will officiate. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. Her family would like to thank all the staff at Bethany Manor for all the wonderful and loving care they gave to our mother while living there. French III, Horseheads, Calvin "Rocky" (Barbra) French, Alan "Rick" French, Shawn "Jock" French; daughter, Darlyn Evans, all of Elmira; grandchildren, Craig Barber, Eric Barber, Julie Barber, Lisa Guyer Werninck, Kim French, Chris French, Bryan (Jamie) French, Brett (Kelli) French, Brandon French, Cali French, Danielle McKain, Jason (fiancée Korey Page) French, Kathy Kelly, Denise Evans, Jeff Evans, Tammy French; eighteen great-grandchildren; special friend like family, Bob "Woody" Wood; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and her beloved companion, Mitz the cat; also predeceased by daughter-in-law, Patricia French; and son-in-law, Bernie Evans. Those wishing may make a donation in her memory to the Elmira animal shelter or the Chemung county SPCA (envelopes available at the Funeral Home). At her request there will be no calling hours, but the family will receive relatives and friends at her Funeral Service at the Kalec Funeral Home on Monday, December 29, at 10 a.m. Followed by her burial in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

GENEVIEVE WATTS age 88 of Wellsburg, NY died on Saturday, April 3, 1999 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Elmira, NY.  Genevieve was survived by daughters and son-in-law, Jeanne and Albert Cheeseman of Wellsburg, NY; sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Winifred Watts, Robert and Kathleen Watts all of Elmira, NY.  Also survived by grandchildren, Kenneth (Diane) Houser, Cheryl (Leo) Matthews, Jr., Christopher (Linda) Houser, Christine Watts and fiancée Steve Butts, Mike Watts, Mark (Kathy) Watts, Barb (Tim) Miller all of Elmira, NY, Charlene Watts of Syracuse, NY and Jeffery (Mary Beth) Houser of York, SC; great-grandchildren, Shawn, Lynette Matthews, Kim Matthews and fiancée Scott Gilbert, Jeremy, Melissa Houser, Tony Popkin, Kaela and Victoria Houser of York, SC and Lottie Mae Watts of Lindley, NY; great-great-granddaughter, Courtney Lynn Caccia, also a special friend, Herman Burke of Horseheads, NY.  Her husband, Kenneth Watts, predeceased Genevieve in 1972.  Genevieve was a homemaker and family was very important to her, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Monday, April 5, 1999 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Funeral and committal services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours, Monday at 7:00 p.m. with Rev.
