Both Blanche and Lettie were listed as schoolteachers in the 1899 directory.
Lettie and her husband, Dr. Lew Smith, built the "famous" windmill house
in Mainesburg as their vacation retreat from his medical practice in Pittsburg.
It still stands and has been refurbished recently. |
