Searching for descendants of William Henry SNEDEKER and Eliza GRAY. He lived 1817-1909, she lived 1822-1902. They are buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Troy. He had a lumber and sawmill business in Snedekerville (named for him) after 1865.

My gggrandfather Sylvester Gardner Andrus purchased part of a lumber mill in Wysox, Bradford Co., PA, c. 1826, which he purchased from Joshua Lamphere of Wysox. Two children were baptized in Wysox in 1828. He may have been in a business "Andrews and Martin" in Wysox in the late 1820's. Looking for any information about Sylvester ANDRUS, any other ANDRUS/ANDREWS families in Wysox in the 1820's, or his possible partner ___ MARTIN. Zephaniah and Delia's household appears in the 1850 Burlington Twp. Census directly after the Hubbard COMPTON household. Zephaniah is listed as "C. P. Travis" in this census. Llewellyn's name is misspelled "Lulllen."
Zephaniah and Delia appear in the 1880 Sayre, Athens Twp. Census in the household of "Levely Trevis." Zephaniah's name is misspelled or misread as "LeJermiah." Both Zephaniah and Llewellyn work for the railroad. The only children listed in this census in the household were: Carrie L., Gideon C., and Greer.
Zephaniah d. (?) and is buried in the Thomas Christian Church Cemetery, Riggs, Smithfield Twp., Bradford Co., PA, in the same cemetery as Hubbard COMPTON.
A distant cousin gave me information confirming Zeulema's brother's name as Llewellyn, and that he had six children. He confirmed the names Carrie, Gideon, and Greer and added Grace and Rosa. He told me that Llewellyn moved his family West to Wisconsin. He has some portrait photos made in various studios in Wisconsin. Apparently, his grandmother, Susie CAMPBELL BAILEY kept a correspondence w/her cousin Grace TRAVIS. Grace eventually married and moved to Washington state. He also confirmed that Delia was a COMPTON, however, I would like to substantiate this.
I am trying to locate the following information:
1. Was Zephaniah's wife indeed a COMPTON?
2. When did Zephaniah pass?
3. Any info on Delia (birth, death and resting place)?
4. Any information regarding Llewellyn or his family--wife's
maiden name, names of children, births, deaths, resting places,
spouses, later descendants, etc.
5. Information on Hubbard COMPTON and his spouse.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They lived in Burlington and are buried in the Old ME Church cemetery.

PA) she was my g-grandmother) - married Albert Davis Hall (born 1866 in
Springwater, NY) He grew up in Potter County PA. and Died in 1948 in Blossburg,
Tioga County, PA.
Kate was married to William A. Norton before she married Albert.
William died in 1903 and I think he is buried in Elmira, NY.
William Parker married Cynthia M. Johnson (they were Florence Estella's parents.) both born in PA. I have no dates or other information on them.
also looking for information on Albert Davis Hall's family. He
was born in Springwater, NY. I do not have his parents names.
He said his mother was an Indian and died in childbirth. His father
disappeared in a flood when he was 2 years old. However, I believe that
his mother's parents were the people who raised him. They were Albert
G. and Candace Cole Davis. They were also origionally from Springwater,
NY but moved to Hebron, Potter County, PA in abt 1852-53. I have
to date found only one of their children. She was Matilda Olive who
married Edwin Hollenbeck (from Hebron.) Albert G. and Candace lived
on their farm in 1870 with Albert Davis Hall. I have obits from both
of them but no children's info. This is really a mystery for
me and I would love any leads out there!!!! Thanks!

I am researching my Great Grandfathers line. He was Michael Edward Blake of Towanda, Bradford County. The 1880 Census of North Towanda Village show he and his sister Mary at the age of 8 and 12 living with their widower father. The father and deceased mother were originally from Ireland. Mary eventually showed up in Ithaca, NY at the Farmers Hotel. According to my Dad, she married a McCreary, but have found nothing to show that. The father was born around 1840, so they arrived in PA after that. I have searched the cemeteries for Bradford County and have not found anything to show where the mother was buried. Anyone else researching this line????

I am trying to find information on Samuel and George Washington ROGERS. I have almost no information on Samuel. He was maybe born 1798 in New York. His son George W. was also born in New York about 1828 and then he married about 1851 Ruby NOLTON, who was born in Pennsylvania. The 1850 NY Census has him living with his in-laws, the Noltons.

(this information taken from marriage record and church records).
I have a small book that was given to Lillian BANKS (my grandmother)
and signed "to Lily from Addie" about 1880. Family stories have it
that Lillian was raised by her grandmother and that her father worked on
a boat and was gone for long periods of time. No information on her
mother. We also think she may have a half-sister. Lillian BANKS
was raised as a Baptist.

Mary M. OWEN was born May 6, 1856 in Jackson Township, Tioga County,
PA. On July 21, 1875, Mary married Franklin HOWARD (b. 2/14/1854)
in Blossburg, PA.
Franklin died February 7, 1881 in Blossburg, PA, leaving his wife,
Mary, with two young sons, George 4, and Henry 2.
Fourteen months later, on April 6, 1882, Mary gave birth to a son, Elmer
WHEELER. I do not know if she remarried before Elmer's birth, but
