Subj: [Tri-Counties] Case, Wills families, William Phillips

From: smwoody@stny.rr.com (Shawn Woodard)
To: PABRADFO-L@rootsweb.com

Hello!
I started looking for information on a Joseph Wills that came to Troy before 1810. He had atleast 4 sons and I have found atleast 3 marriages attributed to him. They were to Abigail Case, daughter of Aaron Case. Rachael Purdy, widow of Moses Case, and there is a grave in the Glenwood Cemetery that says, "Mrs. Mary wife of Joseph Wills died Feb 15, 1829 age 72 yrs" I believe that atleast one of those marriages may have been to his son though. I am also beginning to wonder if Mary and Abigail are one in the same. I haven't found a grave for Abigail or Rachael either. It gets even more confusing from there. He was a staunch member of the Baptist Church in Troy and according to Heverly, died there. I have been unable to find a grave though. His daughter, Mary Wills, supposedly married my ancestor William Phillips. I have absolutely no dates for William and Mary and don't know if they ever even lived in Troy. According to the 1850 census, both William and Mary were born in England. There is a lot of conflicting accounts around this family and I am trying to piece it all together.

I have since gotten sidetracked with the Case family in general also. Two of them were supposedly married to Joseph Wills and I am hoping to find more info by following this line. I am not even sure that I am related to them, but I have collected quite a bit of info. They are quite a fascinating bunch!! I would love to trade and share. Anyone with ANY info on them, no matter how small, please contact me. Thanks!!!!

Hello!
I am looking for information on my grandmother's family. Her name was Alice Bellinger. She was born Nov 14, 1913 and died at her home in Elmira, NY in Aug of 1973. She was married to Robert Eugene Kinsman Sr. She had some sisters. I remember one. Her name was Ethel Bellinger Strong. I think her husband was John Strong. She had atleast one brother too. My mother thinks his name might have been Kenny Bellinger. I believe they were from the Blossburg area and I know that some of them lived in Gillett when I was a little girl.

I am also looking for information on my ggrandfather, Charles R. Kinsman. From the 1920 census, I have surmised that he moved around quite a bit. His children were born in several different areas. He is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery though. I can't clearly read his wife's name on the census. I know one of his children, Gloria, was still living a few years ago, but I can't remember her married name or where in Elmira she lived. I am also researching any other Kinsmans. I have a lot of information that I am willing to share. My email is smwoody@stny.rr.com .

Thanks all!!!
Shawn Woodard
