Hello,
I am still tracing my Smith ancestors and just found out some information
regarding my gggrandmother Azubah Nelson who married Howard S. Smith. He
was born May 10, 1810 in Columbia Twp., Bradford Cnty., Pa.
Azubah Mary Church was born July 15, 1798 in Salisbury, Addison Cnty., Vermont. She was the daughter of Silas & Hannah (Barker) Church.
Azubah's first husband was a man with the surname Nelson. It appears that Azubah & her husband moved from Vermont to Pennsylvania. It looks as if Azubah's husband passed away and she then married Howard S. Smith sometime around 1830.
Does anyone have any information on Azubah's 1st husband Mr. Nelson? Did they have any children?
Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Researching John and Jo(h)anna Leahy Desmond from Morris/Liberty/Nauvoo area.
John was born 1814 in Templemartin, County Cork, Ireland and came to states in May 1837. Unsure whether he married Johanna in Ireland or US. They had three known children: Jeremiah (my g.grandfather b. 1849), Mary(b. 1854), and Alice(possibly born 1854). Jeremiah married Rose O'Hargan (daughter of Cornelius and Rose McCormick O'Hargan from Greenwood/West Union, Stueben Co., NY) and had 10 children.
Believe John had brother, Jeremiah (b. 1825 Templemartin) who came over in 1845 and settled in same area.
Especially interested in John and Johanna and their parents. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for info on my Smith family. The first ancestors that I know of was Leon Smith and this wife Mary Bryant Smith. They moved to Skinners Eddy, Wyoming County from Wayne County, PA about 1854. They had 5 children; Clarence Carson Smith, Lillie Smith Vandervort, Prescott Smith, Mary Leone Smith Stalford and Edward Earl Smith. They lived much of their adult lives in Wyalusing township, Bradford County. Clarence and Prescott had some kind of business in Camptown circa 1900. Lillie's husband A L Vandervort had a grain mill in the Wyalusing area. Mary Leone's husband George Stalford worked for the Lehigh Valley RR. Edward Earl attended a business college in Elmira, NY and played baseball for an Elmira team in the mid to late 1890's. Clarence was married to Mary Avery. Prescott was married to Lettie Fuller. Edward was married to Lilia Pickett and Nellie Farr.Ed Smith
