Date: 4/26/2002 3:48:37 PM Eastern Daylight Time
From: Steamandroses@aol.com
To: PABRADFO-L@rootsweb.com

Hi list,
New mystery. James H. Barber, born 1795 from New York state( nephew to William and Mary Stanclift Scott, died between 1844 and 1857 judging from the wording of the wills of his father William Barber and stepmother Olive Stanclift Barber. James H. Barber willed each of his 5 children 1/5th of a parcel of land in Smithfield.

Angeline Barber Scott sold her 1/5 portion January 11, 1870, to James Leonard. The description of the land she sold is: "being in the Township of Smithfield....bounded on the north by land of the said James Leonard, on the west by land ______late of William R-------(Ican't read his name), on the south by the highway and the east by land of the said James Leonard.

I am assuming that the other 4 parcels would have been at one or more edges of Angeline's parcel. Given that information, can anyone tell me any or all of her brothers/sisters names ?

Thank you.....Lenore Murray, Cheshire, Ct
