I am researching NORTHRUP/ NORTHROP, CRAWFORD, WALLEN, PARKS, SNYDER, YOUNG and various allied families, all early settlers in Bradford County.
Nehemiah "Myer" NORTHRUP (b. 1761 CT, d. 20 Sep 1842 Bradford, PA) son of Nathan NORTHRUP and Sarah CRAWFORD, married Sarah "Sally" PARKS (b. 1779 CT d. 19 May 1842 Bradford, PA), daughter of John PARKS and Sarah WALLEN. Nehemiah was a farmer and lived in Athens Twp.
Possible children, all born Bradford, PA: 1 - [son ?] NORTHRUP (b. 1794-1802, d. ??) 2 - George NORTHRUP (b. 1803, d. 5 Feb 1873 Ogle Co., IL), married Nancy Mianda SNYDER (b. 22 Aug 1816, d. after 1880 probably in IL), daughter of William SNYDER and Hannah PARKS of Sheshequin Twp 3 - Charles NORTHRUP (b. 1806, d. 24 Apr 1838 Bradford, PA) 4 - James L. NORTHRUP (b. ??, d. 24 Apr 1838 Bradford, PA) 5 - Cynthia NORTHRUP (b. 1804-1810, d. ??), married John G. EASTERBROOKS, son of Barnard EASTERBROOKS and Cynthia GREEN of Orwell Twp 6 - [daughter ?] NORTHRUP (b. 1804-1810, d. ??) 7 - Eliza NORTHRUP (b. 16 Jun 1810, d. 2 Apr 1876 Bradford, PA), married Richard JOHNSON (b. 20 Aug 1810, d. 19 Aug 1870 Bradford, PA) 8 - William NORTHRUP (b. 1816, d. 30 Jul 1844 Bradford, PA)
I am fairly confident that George, Charles, William and Cynthia belong in this family group; not positive about the other four.
Nehemiah NORTHRUP had brothers John, Abijah and James who seem to have been fairly well documented by various researchers, but I haven't found anyone who is researching Nehemiah. I'd like to hear from anybody who has any information about or interest in this family.

Hi,
I hope I am not too late. If I am please bear with me. I am looking for
information on my Cowl ancestors. I am specifically looking for the family of
James Cowl. His son, Martin Howard, was born in Duchess County, New York. I
think in Pawling. Martin came to Bradford County where he married Sara Jane
Diltz. (Daughter of Samuel and Annis.) Martin died fairly young and left Sara
Jane with several young children. His son, James Orlando, was born in Leroy Twp.
He had a butcher shop in Towanda. Any one related to them, please contact
me. I'd really love to learn more about them.
I am also looking for info on the Diltz/Dilts/Dills clan and am also trying to look for the parents and/or siblings of Annis Palmer.
