I descend from Elisha Harding by way of his daughter Sarah, who married Eugene Irving Clark. I would like to communicate with any descendant of Elisha and Jane Sunderlin of Breesport, all three are buried in the Baptist cemetery. Trying to find parents of Elisha, my grandmother gave me names but I would like to confirm that they are my gggparents.

Subject: John Slocum Family

Date: Wed, 5 Nov 2008

My name is David John Slocum and I am looking for information for my grandfather John Edward Slocum born approximately 1845 and died in 1922. HIs wife was Mary Leonard and she was born in 1/13/1850 and died in 11/8/1927. I know that he served in the Civil War and is buried in Second Milo Cemetary in Yates Co. He was living in Erin the late 19th century before moving to Milo Center. We are looking for his original heritage. I would be interested in knowing his father and mothers names. My grandmothers parents names were John Leonard and mother was Mary Briggs.

Do you know where I could get a copy of his Civil War enlistment or discharge papers?

Thank you David Slocum

Subject: FLOYD & BETTY SMITH - Elmira
From: "R. Catherine Smith", rcatherinesmith@gmail.com
Date: Thu, 2 Oct 2008

Looking for any info on FLOYD W. and Elizabeth (Betty) SMITH from Elmira - I believe both were killed in an auto accident around 1932 on Waverly Hill. Floyd was my Grandfather, (Betty was his second wife) and what I've written above is all I know. My father thought Floyd was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Elmira, but the cemetery does not have a record of it. Any info would be very appreciated, as I would like to know anything at all about either one of them.

Thanks so much! Robin C. Smith
