Looking for information on the Jason Garrison from Job's Corners who married Delta Shaw from Mansfield, PA at Pine City,NY on 26 Oct 1800 by Rev. Dewitt Miyers. Also on Della Shaw, daughter of William M. Shaw and Emma Wells, daughter of Benjamin and Eliza Wells. Della married Jesse Garrison of Job's Corners.Della's father was a member of Mansfield Grange and so it looks like both Delta and Della Shaw were from Mansfield, PA and Jason and Jesse Garrison were from Jobe's Corners. William M. Shaw and Emma Wells were married 16 March 1865 so Della and Jesse must be descendants of Delta and Jason. Anyone any information?

Surname: WILSON
Given name: John Edward
I was born one month premature on March 7th, 1949 to Clara Martha CANOOP of Corning, NY. My father was John Edward WILSON of Tioga, PA. At the time of my birth Clara was 44. I believe John was 46. In, I believe 1948, before he learned that Clara CANOOP was pregnant, John Edward WILSON went fishing on Lake Seneca. A storm came up over the Lake. He never returned. No body was ever found.
My adoption was arranged before I was born. Thereafter, every year, I received a Christmas and a birthday card from Clara M. CANOOP, still from Corning NY. I received the last card in December of 1966.
Clara did provide my original birth certificate as well as a small newspaper clipping stating that John Edward WILSON was lost on Lake Seneca and presumed dead. There was no referrence as to the date or source of the newspaper clipping. Those items are now lost.
I am searching for any relatives living or dead of John Edward WILSON as well as any related history.
Thank you,

Hi Joyce, It's been quite some time since I have contacted you about my genealogy. Since then I have found some of my relatives in Tioga Pa. Wondering if you have some info on Delos Holiday and his wife Caroline Beeman and their families. They are related to my mother in law Mildred Kinney who was a Baxter. Her mother Beatrice Baxter was the daughter of Tressa Wheeler. Her father was Delos Holiday and her mother was Caroline Beeman. Since I am stuck with my Great Great Grandfather on my Father in law's side, I went on to the Baxter Wheeler side and found the above info. I am curious if perhaps my Thomas T. Kinney came from Pa?
Sincerely,
Denise Kinney virgos123@aol.com

Dear MS Tice:
I am trying to help my cousin Mrs. Edna Barns [FWBARNS@AOL.COM], locate a
marriage certificate for her Grandfather SILAS R. HOWARD married 1822/26 at
Penevang?, Middlebury Twp, Tioga Co., PA married to Betsy Ann "Anna" Carpenter.
We are trying to learn whom the parents, aunts and uncles were! Mrs. Barns claims Silas was born Nov 1822/26 in Cayuga County, NY. My own feeling is Silas R is the son of Silas Jr., Silas Senior and MS. Pillsbury and son of my 5th great grandfather ZEPHANIAH HOWARD and LYDIA VALERIE WOOLEY!
If there is a family genealogy on the Howard Family, I would appreciate a copy with Title Page and your bill for this information.

Last year on a search for PIER I found a newspaper abstract of death records from Tioga County PA. On the list for the Mansfield Advertiser, 1876, was a 7-yr old Hattie PIER, who d 9 Aug 1876, after a long illness, only dau. of Erastus P. PIER.
There is an Erastus S. PIER, b 1843 (prob Corning, Steuben County, NY, d Knoxville, near Corning 1894), the grandson of my gr-gr-grandparents, George and Melissa Pier of NY state. I'm wondering if it could be possible that this Hattie was actually the daughter (first child) of Erastus S. Pier. The age would work, and the name Harriet is a frequent one through a number of Pier generations. My two immediate questions are:
1. Is there or was there a Mansfield, PA? I searched, using a AAA roadmap, but couldn't find one. I checked NY,here there's a Mansfield, but in a very western county.
2. I wonder if this death notice might have been copied from a Steuben County NY paper. I was a bit surprised to find that when George Pier died, his obituary from the Cooperstown, Otsego County NY newspaper was copied in the Geneva Gazette. Geneva is in Ontario County, farther, I think, from Cooperstown than Mansfield PA would be from Corning, Steuben County, NY.
TIA! Jean Chapman Snow

Amos E Rowley Found in "History of Tioga County" book, vol 2, chap 50-65,page 813 & 814. He was a cabinet maker in 1857 Middlebury township tax records and owned a house and 50 acres until his death Apr 6, 1908. There is a big grave marker in Middlebury Union Cemetary on the Rowley plot. His name shows on an old Middlebury map AE Rowley in no.1355, Chataham, Farmington corner of map. His property was bordered on the North,Combs & Owlett, South Briggs & Conley, East Briggs & Palmer, West Stevens & Owlett, and was transferred to Waldo Wood in 1963.
He listed 4 of his 7 children that were living in the 1897 biography and we would like to find more info on the others. We have a picture with the names Frank, William, and Charley who may be only 2 to 4 years apart in age. Frank we believe is Rev. FH Rowley my Great Grandfather. We found him in Richmond township as pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal Church. William is confusing us because a son of FH and MA Rowley b 4/12/1883 & d 2/12/1892 has a stone in Middlebury Cemetary Rowley plot and We think his name is William.
The William in the picture looks like Franks brother, Amos Rowley's son. We have no record of this William as we couldn't find the 3 children of Amos Rowley who were not living in the 1897 biography record.
Are there any records of family of Amos E Rowley b 1/4/1825 in Southampton MASS, died 4/6/1908, who is listed on pg 813-814 in 1897 Tioga Cty History book ? He has a stone marked AE Rowley in Middlebury cemetary and FH Rowley preached in Keenyville church.
Thanks, Jim Rowley
