Looking for information on Thomas, Daniel or Isaac HORTON who were listed as living in Middlebury Township in 1836. They were presumably brothers. They may have left that township before 1850 as they do not appear on that census.
Interested in any reference to the above Hortons, from church, cemetery or family records.
Thank you Barbara Lamb
I am searching for information on the BURRELL family of Tioga and Bradford counties, Pennsylvania. Peter S. BURRELL is my 4th great grandfather. He was born on 30 May 1802 in Delaware County, New York and died in 1882 in White County, Illinois. He is the son of John BURRELL and Susannah Smith from Norfolk County, Massachusetts. John and Susannah BURRELL had twelve children: Silas, David, Noah, twins (died at birth), John, Asa, Peter, Caleb, Ward, Jonathan, and Susannah.
I found Peter S. BURRELL in the 1830 Census of Rutland, Tioga, Pennsylvania with his two brothers, Silas and Caleb. Peter was married and had one son. I am searching for the name of his first wife. I believe he was married in Pennsylvania in the 1820s. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely, Susan Wiscombe
Lelia BALDWIN of Tioga County is my 2nd great grandmother and lived in Tioga in the 1860 & 1870 Census. Her father is William BALDWIN who was 31 in 1860. In 1860 I don't see a mother listed but in 1870 Sarah BALDwin is listed with the family. I don't know if she is Lelia's mother, Lelia had siblings Ida,John, Mary, & Jenny. Lelia was 5 in 1860. I also show Williams mother Louisa was living with him in 1870 and she was 76 years old.
If anyone else is researching or has any information please contact me. I would love to share what I have and get new information as well.

I rescue old photos from auctions and antique shops. I acquired some photos recently and one is identified on the back as Edna M. Marvin, Mansfield, PA, age 19 years, Feb. 5, 1910.
There was an almost identical (similar style) photo taken, probably at the same time, of an older female, possibly older sister or mother?
I'd like to get these into the hands of family. I only ask what I have into them and postage. I can be reached at:

The information I believe to be correct. I am looking for parents and any information of Verne HARRIS. He was born 07 MAR 1889, died SEP 1970, SS# 205 03 3005. I believe he lived in Charleston township. He married Lola INGERICK. I know that the missing census of 1890 would probably me help a lot. Hi Joyce!
I am looking for any info on a Ephraim Rice, (Royce when he moved from CT., 1790, to Greene Co. NY.) He was there about 15 years, In Chenango, Broome Co. NY, 1820/1825, and Farmington, Tioga Co. PA. 1830. I lose him after that date, so I am wondering if he may have died there. His son, Ira married Sarah Wixon, widow of Ebenezer Brunson there in Tioga, 1832. Their first son, Ebenezer Brunson Rice born, 1833. (Can you imagine Ira, having his first son named after her first husband?) They then move on to Addison, Steuben Co. NY for the State Census, 1835, then Carrollton, Cattaraugus Co. NY. for the next 20 plus years.
Thanks for any thing you might be able to provide.

SPENCER FAMILY:
Hi Joyce:
I really appreciate all the work that has gone into this site. On this
site I found the Spencer Cemetery and my ancesters buried there. I am
related to Jewett Spencer, one of the early settlers. My Great
Grandfather was Webster Spencer, born 1846 , married to Amy Abbott. My
Grandfather, Frederic Spencer was born in Grover, PA in 1871 (son of
Webster). I would like to know if my Grandfather had any siblings. I
think there may have been a baby that died. If so I need the dates.
Also I don't have any information on his mother Amy Abbott who died in
1871. I think Webster may have remarried but I don't know to whom and
if they had any children. I would appreciate any information about
these relatives.
Thank You, Barbara Bodie

Hello,
I am searching my ancestors who, as I was told, came to somewhere around
Gaines, PA, and were associated with coal mines, probably around 1900-1930.
Last name is Glinkowski and they came from the Western part of Poland or
eastern Germany (at that time boarders were unclear). If you have any
information about the last name Glinkowski please let me know at
m_glinkowski@hotmail.com.
Thank you, Mietek Glinkowski.
I am researching my mother's father's family-COSTLEYS from the Deerfield township in Tioga County, PA. My grandfather was Claude Costley born 10 July 1894 and I think his father was Wilford or Wilfred Costley (son of David Costley) born approximately 1862. David was married to Eliza ? and this is where I lose track. Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you.

Joyce,
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the work that you have done. As I research
my family history through the Tebo and Landon Lines, I have found your work invaluable.
My mother was born Hazel Elizabeth Tebo, on Sept 17, 1899, to James Baker Tebo and Gertrude Carrie Hager in Union Township, Tioga County, PA. Hazel Tebo graduated from Canton High School (date unknown).
James Baker Tebo, (commonly known as Baker Tebo) was born December 12, 1862 to Thomas Tebo and Elizabeth Landon, in Union Township, Tioga County, PA.
Elizabeth Landon (also known as Betsy Landon) was born January 10, 1821, to Laban X. Landon and Polly Wallace Landon in Union Township, Tioga County, PA.
I am searching for documentation that demonstrates that Betsy & Elizabeth are one and the same person. I know it because my mother told me (and I think that she ought to know who her grandmother was) but the S.A.R wants proof. Does anyone have any idea how I can demonstrate this?
Thank you again, James A. Lucas

Hi,
My name is John Reed Austin. I just discovered through your site that I am directly
related to Nathaniel Reed and Eleanor Siminson. My query is that there is a legend
out of Brainerd that John Reed, son of Nathaniel was part Indian because he was a scout
for the WO1812. If that is not possible, is it possible that the Shuarts are. I am
seeking information about possible Blackfeet.
Regards, John Reed Austin

I am researching my father's family in New York state. In my materials I have a note stating that in 1952, a G. E. McNinch, Justice of the Peace examined the HOUSE FAMILY Bible (published by A. J. Johnson in NY City 1869). The address on the note says State of Penn. County of Tioga. I have researched back to ggg George I. HOUSE b. Herkimer Co. NY December 26, 1795 d. April 30, 1870, m. Elizabeth (Betsy) YULE in Danube NY 1818. My gg was Levi HOUSE b.Herkimer NY 1834 d. 1920 m. Marion Helen COUNTRYMAN 1860. Notes from my Grandfather, David Abraham HOUSE b. West Union (Rexville) NY September 21, 1873 d. April 29, 1969 in Red Deer Alberta Canada. My notes indicate that George I. HOUSE's father was either George T. HOUSE or Joseph HOUSE.
