Mansfield Advertiser Feb. 25th 1880: Married Mr. Quackenbush of Tioga & Mrs. McClure Mainesburg at her fathers Gershom Gardner Feb. 14th. Gershom Gardner is a name that goes back to 1600s in this country and may give us some clues on this families ancestry on the name line portion.

Gardner Hollow in Sullivan is named for this pioneer family. This section of road runs from the intersection of Reitz Road and Seymour Hill Road to Strange Hill. PA DOT has renamed it as part of Reitz Road, but in early days the road name changed at each intersection.

Gershom Gardner is an old Connecticut (Bradford) name also intermixed with Georges. This is no doubt the ancestry of this family. Surname of Eliza on Olive's Death record was Ramsdale and birth place was Tioga county PA.
