| Terms of Use: READ THIS FIRST. These Family Histories are brought to you from the database of Joyce M. Tice's Sullivan-Rutland Genealogy Project. If you are descended from this family, SRGP wants to know about you and yours. It is expected that all who use this freely available information compiled by and given by JMT are also willing to repay that by sending in any additional information including updates to the PRESENT day on any of these Sullivan Township lines. By using any of this material in your own family research, you are participating in a cooperative two-way exchange. Please pay your dues. Permission to present this work in public databases is denied. It may not be presented elsewhere on the internet without instructions for sending updates to me. This project cannot reach its intended purpose unless people get back to me with their updates. If you use this material without returning your updates to it, you are violating the honor system conditions under which it is presented here and will ultimately make it necessary for me to remove it. Sorry to be so blunt here, but I have found my personal work on the internet in databases including those that are for pay that even I can not afford to use. In a few cases the person who has taken the work has documented me and this project as the source. Most often they do not. That is a violation of the intent of my gift and removes me from the process that will keep this project growing as the central repository of information on the pioneer settlers of this area. If you can not agree to these conditons, do not use this material. Hunt it down yourself and pay the same price in time and money that I did to develop it. Sullivan-Rutland Genealogy Project is my primary life's work. You are ON YOUR HONOR. |

Her illness had been short and hopes were entertained she would recover, but they were dissipated. Last Sabbath she began to sink rapidly until her soul departed to be with its God.
She was born in Sylvania, Bradford county Pa., August, 1827, and was married in I847, baptized into the State Road Baptist Church, May, l855, the mother of ten children, eight are still living and all are professors of that faith their mother loved so well. As a wife she was a helpmeet indeed, loyal and true, cheerful and affectionate, she has made her home a Paradise of wedded bliss. As a mother, striving in the strength of her Divine Master, she has ever sought to train the children for home and heaven. As a member of the church faithful to her convenant vows, willing and cheerful, she has been a light of the church. In the sick room she has been a friend indeed, in the name of her Master she has gone among the afflicted of the community and brought comfort, gladness and relief. Truly a good woman has fallen; a mother in Israel has gone to her rest. A devoted wife, a good neighbor, a noble woman has laid by the garments of mortality and enrobed in the splendors of the heavenly home. She rests from her labors and her works do follow her.
