| Subj: Re: Photos of PB&E
Date: 12/23/2002 11:16:51 AM Eastern Standard Time From: mjf@clarityconnect.com (Mike Frantz) To: JoyceTice@aol.com Joyce, Here are some scans of the PB&E Railroad in an attachment. The pictures are from a series of five photo albums I purchased at an antique store in Elmira about 15 years ago. The captions indicate the photographer was one of the survey crew members. The pictures are captioned with brief phrases and most are from the 1905-6 era. The name Pat Barber is penciled in on a few of the photos. The photos show the "narrows" (called by many people "the Rock Cut") near Powell;a labor camp called "Sunday at the Italian Camp"; a survey crew leaving Potterville by horse and wagon; and a Lehigh Valley steam locomotive near Wysox. Sincerely, Mike Frantz |
