This area on the Susquehanna Ri;ver was a refuge from 1793 to 1803
for members of the French nobility who fled from the French Revolution.
It is now a Historic Site.
We have in progress for online presentation a book abou tthe subject which will give you all the detail you will need. So, be patient. Many of the photos I took on this September 4, 1999 visit to the site were ruined by a bad floppy disk in my digital camera so I'll have to go back again. Joyce M. Tice |
