This Indenture made the tenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty six Between Moses B. Sherman and his wife Susie V. Sherman of Tuscola, Tuscola County, State of Michigan of the first part and Nelson Sherman of Bradford County State of Pennsylvania of the second part Witnesseth: that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and eighty five and seventy one one hundredth Dollars lawful money of the United States of America well and truly paid by the said party of the second part to the said parties of the first part at and before the sealing and delivery of these proceeds the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold aliened ---?--- released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell aliened ---?--- release convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns; all of his undivided one fourteenth part of the following described land situated in Overton Township Bradford County Pennsylvania bounded and described as follows: Beginning at the corner of lands of J.J. Hannon, thence South thirty three and three fourths degrees west fifteen and four tenths rods to a corner,, thence south fifty three and three fourths degrees east twenty three and two tenths rods to post and corner, thence North thirty six and one fourth degrees East seventeen rods to corner on line of John Hottenstein’s land; thence North fifty six and three fourths degrees. west twenty four and six tenths rods along lands of said Hottenstein to place of beginning: Containing two acres and sixty seven perches. Also: his undivided one fourteenth part of a farm piece or parcel of land situated in Overton Township Bradford County and Forks Township, Sullivan County State of Pennsylvania bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a corner on line of lands of J.J. Hannon and corner of lot of H. Sherman in Overton Bradford County, thence south thirty three and one forth degrees west along lands of J.J. Hannon seventy two and two tenths rods to corner near Black Creek; Thence north seventy degrees west along said Creek nine rods to the corner at said Creek; thence South thirty five and three fourths degrees west fifty six and eight tenths rods. along lands of Martin O’Brien to a corner near Sullivan County Line thence South thirty three and one fourth degrees East in Sullivan County nine and eight tenths rods to centre of public highway leading from Overton to Forksville thence in the same direction two and six tenths rods to a corner; thence south thirty three and one fourth degrees west, eighty three and one half rods to post and corner; thence South fifty nine and one half degrees east, one hundred eight rods to corner and stones on rock; thence North thirty three and one fourth degrees East, two hundred and thirty seven and one half rods on old track line and across the County Line, to a corner in public highway thence along said public highway North fifty six and three fourths degrees west thirty one and one fourth rods; thence south thirty six and one fourth degrees west, thirteen and six tenths rods; thence North fifty three and three fourths degrees west fifteen rods to post; thence north thirty six and one fourth degrees east eleven and six tenths rods to the public highway; thence along said highway six rods; thence south thirty six and one fourth degrees west three rods. thence north sixty five and one half degrees west five and twenty two twenty fifths rods; thence south thirty six and one fourth degrees west fifty five rods; thence North fifty three and three fourths degrees west, twenty three and five tenths rods across the public highway; thence north thirty six and one fourth degrees east thirty six rods to corner; thence north fifty three and three fourths degrees west two rods; thence south thirty six and one fourth degrees west seven and two tenths rods; thence north fifty three and three fourths degrees west twelve and two tenths rods to place of beginning; containing one hundred and fifty two and one hundred sixtieths acres. Being the land known as the Sherman Homestead. Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances to the same belonging. or in any wise appertaining and the uncision (?) and uncisions (?) remainder and --?-- rents issues and profits thereof. And also all the whole right title interest properly claimed and demand whatsoever both in law and equity of the said party of the first part ofin to or out of the said premises and every part and parcel thereof. To have and to hold the said premises with all and singular the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use in behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And the said parties of the first part their heirs executors and administrators do by these presents command grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that they the said parties and their heirs all and singular the hereditaments and premises hereinabove described and granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against the said parties of the first part and their heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof under them or any of them, shall and will by these presents warrant and forever defend, In witness whereof the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written

On the seventh day of February in the year one thousand eight hundred and eighty six before me the subscriber a Notary Public in and for said county and State, came the above named Moses B. Sherman and his wife Susie V. Sherman and they acknowledged the above indenture to be their act and deed and desired the same might be worded as such. And the said Susie V. Sherman being of full age and separate and apart from her said husband by me examined and the full content of said indenture being by me first made known unto her declared upon such separate examination that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord sign seal and as her act and deed delivered the said Indenture without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband. Witness my hand and seal.

Cookingham, Clerk of said County and Clerk of the Circuit Court for the County of Tuscola which is a Court of Record having a seal, do hereby certify that John L Richardson whose name is subscribed to the certificate or proof of acknowledgment of the annexed instrument and therein written was at the time of taking such proof or acknowledgment of Notary Public in and for said county duly commissioned and qualified and duly authorized to take the same. And further that I am well acquainted with the handwriting of said Notary Public and readily believe that the signature to the said certificate or proof of acknowledgment is genuine, I further certify that the said instrument is executed and acknowledged according to the laws of this State. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed Seal of said Court and County at "Eau" this 11th day of February AD 1886.
