Mystery Photo above submitted by Mike Murphy who would like some help identifying
the people in it.
Hi Joyce;
I am not sure if this is the proper way to do this, but I thought I
would give it a shot anyway.
My name is Mike Murphy. My father, Michael Harold Murphy grew
up in the village of Horseheads, lived at 503 Steuben St. He was
born in 1898, went to school in Horseheads and Graduated from the High
School in June 1917. He spent 5 years with the Horseheads Fire Department,
(1930 - 1935). But the only thing I can find when I do a search of
his name is when he registered for the draft. I know there should
be more info available! Can you give me some pointers.
I have attached a photo that was taken in Horseheads, but I am not sure
of the period. I don't know who the people are in the picture.
I was in hopes that you might recognize them or know of someone who might.
Embossed in the bottom right corner is the name Bogardus, Horseheads, NY.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
