BREWER FAMILY CEMETERY

Wells Township, Bradford County, PA

Located in southwestern Wells$Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania on the farm where Johnson and Samantha Brewer resided and now occupied by Donald and Leah Jennings. See 1869 atlas for location of J. Brewer residence. The small family cemetery was west of their residence on a small knoll near the Tioga County line and tle markers are now in a pasture a few hundred yards behind the Jennings barn and all lay flat. Mr. Jennings had thought from his earliest recollection that there were four markers. Three markers are legible and the partial remains of a fourth marker were found. The fourth marker was a double marker with inscriptions on both the left and right sides, perhaps for two children. The marker was almost entirely illegible and the other portion of the markerdwas not located. A date of 1861 on left and either the month of Apr or Aug on vight. Markers copied June 1987 by J. Kelsey Jones.
