Kents Corners Cemetery
Wells Township, Bradford Co Pa
Text by J. Kelsey Jones submitted November 1997
There are related to be unmarked graves of one or two persons (related
to be adult males) at Kents Corners in northeastern Wells Township, Bradford
County, Pennsylvania. Few people now know the locality by the name of Kents
Corners which is where present Farm View Road and Updike Road intersect,
which was originally a four corner crossroads, Updike Road continuing north
into New York state and intersecting with Bird Creek Road. The general
consensus among older persons is that there was a burial or burials there,
but there is disagreement as to one or two individuals. The location of
the burial or burials is on the south side of Farm View Road next to the
road and west of Updike Road several hundred yards on about the highest
point of Farm View Road. There were at one time several pine trees bordering
the road and the grave(s) were beside one of the pine trees, but most of
these pine trees are now gone. No marker or markers were ever known to
have existed.
