Joyce's Search Tip - December 2007 -
Do You Know that you can search just the Bradford County Cemetery Records on the site by using the Cemeteries -Bradford button in the Partitioned search engine at the bottom of the Current What's New Page? If you use that partition follow these steps to search just one cemetery
1. Choose Cemeteries - Bradford.
2. Enter part of the cemetery name [ie Ballard or Berrytown] AND a surname.
3. Choose the Find ALL Words option. Then it will find just the pages with that surname in the one cemetery you indicated.

Note from Joyce M. Tice - The Brace Cemetery had a very ornate and beautiful gate. Unfortunately in recent times, people living near the cemetery sold it to an antique dealer as these old gates have very high dollar value. Fortunately, a direct descendant of the Brace Family ran across it and purchased it from the dealer. He gave her a better price because she was a descendant. It now rests in her garden, in New York State. It can not be returned to the place where it belongs because it will just be put on the market again for strangers who do not cherish it as it should be cherished.

SAUNDERS - Local News)  Miss Lillian Saunders died Tuesday morning at the home of her grandfather, Reuben Palmer in Springfield.  The deceased was 21 years old and death was due to tuberculosis.  The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at the home of her grandfather and burial was in the Brace cemetery.
