Joyce's Search Tip - December 2007 -
Do You Know that you can search just the 600 pages of Tioga County Cemetery Records on the site by using the Cemeteries -Tioga button in the Partitioned search engine at the bottom of the Current What's New Page? If you use that partition follow these steps to search just one cemetery
1. Choose Cemeteries - Tioga.
2. Enter part of the cemetery name [ie Newbury or Furman] AND a surname.
3. Choose the Find ALL Words option. Then it will find just the pages with that surname in the one cemetery you indicated.

Located in southeastern Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania on or near the former Seth E. and Susanna Howland farm on the east side of an old road (see 1875 atlas where S. E. Howland residence was) bordered by a stone wall. The cemetery can be reached by using a driveway on the highest point of Kennedy Road and taking the driveway west, past and behind the residence (used for hunting camp) to the old road and then go about 100 yards south on the old road and down the hill along the stone wall. There are four large markers of native stone set in the ground bearing no inscriptions and some smaller native markers which may indicate burials or footmarkers. Markers copied November 1998 by J. Kelsey Jones and photographed by Joyce M. Tice.
