Joyce's Search Tip - December 2007 -
 |
Do You Know that you can search just the
600
pages of Tioga County Cemetery Records on the site by using the Cemeteries
-Tioga button in the Partitioned search engine at the bottom of the
Current
What's New Page? If you use that partition follow these steps to
search just one cemetery.
1. Choose Cemeteries - Tioga.
2. Enter part of the cemetery name [ie Newbury or Furman] AND a surname.
3. Choose the Find ALL Words option. Then it will find just the pages
with that surname in the one cemetery you indicated. |

May 2005
Dear Ms. Tice,
I would like to make an addition to the Pleasant
Valley Cemetery
, Tioga County, Farmington Township, list. My grandfather,
Frank Phelps, was born in 1899, and died in 1978. He is buried next to
Warren G. Phelps. Flossie Phelps was his second wife, and is buried next
to him. She died in 1973.
Frank ran a sawmill for many years less than
a mile from my father's home. One of his last contracts came when
the Lumberman's Museum was being built near Galeton, PA. His sawmill
had the only carriage that would handle the long logs that went into building
some of the buildings on the site.
Thank you so much for all the work that you
do with the website, and all the work that goes into the lists as well.
I have enjoyed it immensely.
Sincerely,
Norman Phelps
