wife and five children. (Children's names were not given) |

Voorhess, died at her home in Daggett's Mills , in this county, Oct 29th 1881
aged 79 yrs and 3 mos. She was born in Morris Co., NJ., and there resided until
her marriage with Aaron Voorhess in 1820. She removed to Daggett's Mills 6 yrs,
after her marriage. Seven years later her husband was shot, accidentally while
deer hunting in the forest that surrounded their home. She was left with 4 small
children...She gave them a good education...The family consists of Mrs. Ellen
Seales, Mr. John V. Voorhess, Dr. Charles Voorhess, and Mrs. Mary S. Smith, wife
of Dr. N. Smith. She had 10 grandchildren |
