She is probably the daughter of J.G. Lundegreen listed on 1830 census residing in Utica, Oneida Co., NY..

The 1850 Census, Lee, Oneida Co., NY lists Erastus, age 44, b. NY.. His occupation is listed as that of a physician. Enumerated with him is wife, Cornelia, age 25, Lydia, age 11 and Edward, age 5 mo..

In September of 1864 Dr. Erastus Fitch removed to Kossuth Co., IA.. "History of Kossuth Co., Iowa, Vol. 1, by B.F. Reed," states that Dr. Fitch came to Plumcreek Twshp. in 1864 in search of land. Several doctors came with the rush of land seekers and after taking homesteads practiced in connection with their farming operations. Dr. Erastus Fitch followed that plan in Plumcreek Twshp.. In 1865, Dr. Fitch and, brother, John, settled on Section 8, Portland Twshp., Kossuth Co.. By 1870, he was back in PA..

The 1870 Census, Burlington Twsp., Bradford Co., PA., pg. 124a, #21/24 mentions Erastus Fitch, age 62, physician, b. NY., with wife, Cornelia, age 44, b. NY.. With them is Emma C., age 17, b. NY..

Erastus died in Southport (Elmira), Chemung Co., NY on Nov. 5, 1878, at age 73 yrs. 1 mo. 22 days. Elmira death record states he was a physician, b. Otsego Co., NY., and buried in Troy, PA.. Residence at time of death, 207 South St., Southport, NY.. In checking the Glenwood Cem. inscriptions, it is noted that Erastus, his first wife, Lydia, and a son, Ezra E. are all buried there.

Obit. for Erastus reads in part: "On Tuesday forenoon, last, Dr. Erastus Fitch, who lives on W. South Avenue, near the Northern Central Car Shops, after having voted, came over to town, and having transacted business, was returning over the Main Street Bridge, when he fell, insensible. He was taken home, and shortly after arriving there he died. The cause of death was apoplexy. His age was 73. Some time ago he was struck by a railroad train and severely injured about the head, but he was frequently heard to remark, of late that he "never felt so well in his life." He was a man much esteemed by his neighbors and acquaintances."
Death notice reads: "FITCH-- In Southport, of apoplexy, Nov. 5th, 1878, Erastus Fitch, M.D., aged 73 yrs."

The 1880 Census, Dist. 1, Southport, Chemung Co., NY., pg. 529b, #192/199, lists Cornelia Fitch, age 52, b. NY., parents b. NY., residing with head of household, Frederick J.
