Dear Joyce:
My parents, Rex Farr and Julia MITCHELL were married in Caton Center, Steuben County, New York, but they lived most of their 59 years of marriage in Lawrence Township. As a matter of fact, our homestead is now under the Cowanesque Lake. The dam was built about a half mile from our farm.
My mother came from Jackson Township, Tioga Co., PA and my father was born in Hammondtown, Tioga Co., PA, but then his parents moved to Lindley, Steuben County, NY.
I think that since they lived in Lawrence Township for so many years, that that would be the township of my choice.
