Oron L. Ladd died Feb. 13 at the veterans hospital in Bath, NY. He served in the U. S. Army for about six years, enlisting a few years before the World War. He served on the Mexican Border and went overseas with the Second Division immediately following our entrance into the world conflict. He served in Headquarters Co., 15th Field Artillery, and received severe wounds at Belleau Wood and at Chateau Thierry which necessitated months of hospitalization. He was invalided back to the United States as a stretcher case and received his honorable discharge after passing months of hospitalization on this side. He had been a patient at the veterans hospital at Bath for the past seven years, suffering with diabetes. His death was due to Toxic Pneumonia. He is survived by his young son Donald Ladd: one brother Lawrence, of Elmira; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Owlett, of Knoxville, and Mrs. Mildred Loucks, of Cedar Run. Buried with full Military Honors in the Veterans Cemetery at Bath, NY Feb. 16, at 9:30 AM. F
