The caption reads: " TROY HIGH SCHOOL - 1922. Standing at the
head of Center Street, today, the corner of Center and High Streets,
and where the residence of Dr. Lawrence Brown is located, this high
school building was burned to the ground Friday, Jan. 6, 1922.
Classes were held in various places and homes in the borough until
the new, and present high school was opened for classes the following
year."
This home is now occupied by Dr. Raymond and Betsey Brown Seeley, Dr. Brown's daughter. |
