1960 view of Mansfield High School. Front section , formerly the gym - converted to auditorium, was built about 1927 attached to the old Brick School. In 1939, the Brick School was torn down and the new school built surrounding the central gym. The 1939 section  on left became the Junior High School in the fall of 1959, and the High School is the new part on the right

LYMAN Stacy Lee Lyman KENT, 35, of Milton, WV, formerly of Columbia Cross Roads, PA died Wednesday, August 7, 2002 at Putnam General Hospital after a long illness.  She was born on August 1, 1967 in Wellsboro, PA, a daughter of Donald A. and Kay Canfield Lyman.  She graduated from Mansfield High School, received her BS from IUP and her master’s degree in business from Carnegie mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA.  She was a self-employed insurance consultant.  Stacy is survived by daughters, Kathleen Lauren Kent and Amber Kristine Kent, both of Glenwood, WV; mother, Kay C. Lyman of Mansfield, PA and father, Donald Lyman, Columbia Cross Roads, PA; brother and sister-in-law, Jeffery and Patty Lyman of Columbia, MD; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Todd W. Lyman.  Memorial services will be held September 7 at 7:00 pm at the Mainesburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. Howard Woodruff officiating.  Arrangements were entrusted to the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Mansfield.  Contributions in Stacy’s name may be made to the Mainesburg United Methodist Church, c/o Dora Tice, 427 Tice Road, Mainesburg, PA 16932.

PANNEBAKER Michael D.

age 45, of Mansfield, PA, died on Sunday, April 22, 2012. Michael was born on October 2, 1966 in Mechanicsburg, PA, the son of Gilbert and Lois (Haring) Pannebaker. He was employed for 18 years as a milk receiver with Deitrich's Milk Products of Middlebury Center, PA. Michael was a member of the Hillside Rod and Gun Club, enjoyed woodworking, hunting and he loved his horses and baling hay. In addition to his parents, Gilbert and Lois Pannebaker, Michael is survived by four sisters, Angela (Tim) Yauger of Cooperstown, PA, Dianna Pannebaker of Mansfield, PA, Eileen (Travis) Cole of Mainesburg, PA, Charlene Pannebaker of Richfield, PA; one brother, Gilbert (Julie) Pannebaker, III of Mansfield, PA; the following nieces and nephews: Ted Pannebaker, Nathan Pannebaker, Brooke Pannebaker, Courtney Yauger, Austin, Aidan, Jade and Alton Cole; special friends, Tom and Jackie Crittenden of Mansfield, PA and Shawn Johnson of Baltimore, MD. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 6:00
PM to 8:00 PM and Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 11:30 AM with Rev. Allen Hulslander officiating. DANIEL G. PARIS
 Daniel G. Paris, 24, of Troy RD 2, died Wednesday, June 19, 1991. He was born September 9, 1967 in Blossburg, PA. Daniel was a member of the Troy Fire Department and served with the US Navy. He was a self-employed mechanic and was an avid hunter. He is survived by his wife, Julia Paris; father, Glen E. Paris of Mansfield RD 1; mother, Hazel Conway of Walden, CO; stepmother, Janice Paris of Mansfield RD 1; brothers, Harry Benjamin of Fort Bragg, NC and James Paris of Newport News, VA; sister, Karrie Paris of Mansfield; half-sisters, Becky Coulson of West Stockholm, NY, Debbie Moore of Sayre and JoAnna Puffet of Lawrenceville, PA; half-brothers, Timothy Whitney of Korea and Ira Whitney of Boulder, CO; stepbrother, Fred Rouse of Mansfield; father and mother-in-law, Paul and Virginia Fitzgerald of Troy RD 2; several nieces and nephews. Services were held at the Vickery Funeral Home in Troy on June 23 with the Rev. Garry Zuber officiating and burial to be in Tioga County Memorial Gardens, Wellsboro. Memorials may be directed to a memorial fund in the name of Daniel G. Paris in care of the Troy Fire Department, 110 Redington Ave., Troy, PA 16947 in support of Julia Paris.
