Say Hello to Joyce
I believe the original photo of John Madison Hagar and Eliza Mercy Smith Hagar was taken early in this century in Grover. The photograph doesn’t have the exact date, but Eliza died in 1922. Photo submitted June 2006 by Chuck Rittenhouse

This family bible is in the hands of Henrietta Chobin, Burdett, New York, a cousin of my father.

My grandparents Clarence Elmer Hagar and Alice Griswold Hagar lived in Elmira, New York and in the family bible it states that the doctor brought my father to them in his medical bag straight from the delivery and that my grandmother gave him his first bath and clothed him. They are buried in Canton, I believe (my sister knows the exact location)

I have spent countless hours on your web pages and have found much  info.  Thanks.  Nancy HAGAR Anderson
