Joyce's Search Tip - December 2007 - Do You Know that you can search just the 600 pages of Tioga County Cemetery Records on the site by using the Cemeteries -Tioga button in the Partitioned search engine at the bottom of the Current What's New Page? If you use that partition follow these steps to search just one cemetery.  1. Choose Cemeteries - Tioga.  2. Enter part of the cemetery name [ie Newbury or Furman] AND a surname.  3. Choose the Find ALL Words option. Then it will find just the pages with that surname in the one cemetery you indicated.

I was browsing and found the Knowlton Cemetery listing.  I was thrilled.  My grandparents are buried there but they died after the 1968 reading.  However, I can add to a couple of the ones that are on there.  All of this information has been obtained from my grandmother's mother(Carrie Ripley)family bible that I have in my possession.  I will gives these to you.  Maybe they will help.  I keep trying to get back down there, if I can find it,(it has been probably 25 years since I have been there), and maybe I could add somemore when I get there.  Anyway, here are the additions:  Wanita Ripley died 12/4/1914.  Alvah Ripley is according to the bible Alvali Ripley and died 7/6/1903.  Alice Ripley died 9/21/1903 and Arnold Ripley died 8/7/1900.  My grandmother, who is not listed is Bessie May Ripley, born 4/26/1891 and died 4/19/1976.  My grandfather is Thomas Gillmer, born 10/20/1887 and died 3/19/1969.  My grandmother's birthdate came from the bible and the date of death from my own knowledge and social security death records.  My grandfather's information came from social security death records and my own recollection of the date of his death.

Joyce M. Tice, I have the date of Sylvia Kreisler Death. She was my Grandfathers sister. His name is Pay Pieere' Phoenix. We have a lot of family buried there, but they had moved to Wyoming when my mother was about 3years 6months old. She just pasted away at 94years5months. So it has been awhile. My Grandfather Ray is buried in Buffalo, Wyoming and my Grandmother(Furman) Phoenix in Upton, Wyoming.Aunt Sylvia P. Kreisler died on October 29-1968 she was married to Charles A. Kreisler. They are buried in Knowlton Cemetery at Marshlands, Pa. Just thought you would like to put it in the file also.

My sister, Linda Bryington Russell is buried there. Her date of birth was Jan. 3, 1957 and she died April 3, 1979.  Also, my father, Clayton W. Bryington born June 14.1935 and died April 11.2001.  Actually in one of your pictures of Knowlton, my sisters headstone is pictured in the distance.  thank you,  Carolyn Bryingtonrin,
