Dellmont McDermott
Delmont McDermott, aged 55, years, of Morris Run, died of a heart attack soon after he returned home from work Jan. 9.
Survivors are his widow and the following children; mrs. Genevive Grey, of Marstallar; Mrs. Catherine Lindermuth, of Houtzdale;Mary Dibler, Bernice and Dorothy Carey, Jack, Richard and Samuel McDermott, of Morris Run; Henry McDermott, of Houtzdale;Powell and Luke McDermott, of Asaph; Kenneth,Charles and Lawrence Adams, of New Mexico, and James Diebler, of Morris Run; a sister, Mrs Pearl Anderson, of Greenwich, and two brothers.
Prayer services were held friday with further services at the Morris Run Methodist church; burial in Morris Run.

 

? – Mrs. Mary Haglund, 83, widow of Jacob Haglund, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edwin Carlson, Morris Run, Thursday, April 1, 1954, at 2 a.m. A native of Finland, she was a member of the Swedish Lutheran Church, Morris Run. Besides her daughter she is survived by one son, Alfred Haglund of Morris Run; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Prayer services were held Sunday at the Carlson residence with further services at the Swedish Lutheran Church. The Rev. E.E. Ceder officiated. - Wellsboro Agitator, April 8, 1954, p7

 

? EVA M. MCDERMOTT age 78 of Morris Run, Pa. suddenly, Sunday January 25, 1970 due to an auto accident.  Friends are invited to call at the Auld Funeral Home, Blossburg, Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  Funeral and committal service there Wednesday at 2 p.m.  The Rev. Kenneth A. Burket.  Morris Run Lutheran Cemetery.  Survived by sons, Charles Adams of Williamsport, Pa., Kenneth Adams of Wellsboro, Pa., Lawrence Adams of Morris Run, Pa., Louis Adams of Mansfield, Pa., Harold McDermott of Morris Run, Pa.; daughter, Mrs. Mary Kissinger of Morris Run; step-sons, Paul McDermott of Fort Sumter, South Carolina, Samuel McDermott of Mansfield, Pa., step-daughters, Mrs. George Lindenmouth of Bakerton, Pa., Mrs. Theodore Gray and Mrs. Harold Keith both of Barnesboro, Pa.  –Elmira Star-Gazette 1/27/1970

I would like to add two more names of persons buried in the Morris Run Cemetery.  Until 2005 their graves were unmarked so I understand why they are not listed in the information provided on your most helpful site. I had a one marker placed on the graves in May of 2005 after officially locating them with the help of the Lutheran Church.  The marker reads as follows:

Augusta Pehrson, Peter’s second wife, was my grandmother.  Her parents are buried in the Fall Brook Cemetery.
