Last Will & Testament of Solomon L Morse

I, Solomon L Morse of Troy Township, Pa. Being of sound mind, memory and understanding do make and publish this my Last will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. As to such estate as it hath please God to entrust me with I dispose of the same as follows viz:

Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Etta Morse one fourth ¼ part of all of the personal property of which I may die seized or be entitled to and also the sum of one hundred (100) dollars per year which shall be in lieu of? a charge upon the land, and paid by Frank J Morse, his heirs or assigns.

Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Eva L (now intermarried with Lyman Peters) on fourth ¼ part of whatever personal property I may die seized or be entitled to and also the sum of two hundred (200) dollars to be paid by Frank J Morse on or before three months after the decease of my said wife at his option (any time after my decease) together with accrued interest from six months after my decease until paid.

Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved son Frank J Morse one half (1/2) of all of the personal property of which I may die seized or be entitled to and also my farm of about seventy nine acres in Troy Township, Bradford Co, Pa. Subject however to the payment as aforesaid of the above mentioned legacies and interest. My and my wifes funeral expenses to be paid out of the general fund.

Lastly I appoint my friend Charles Parke to be the Executor of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I Solomon L Morse the testator have to this my will written on one sheet of paper set my hand and seal this 20th day of March 1890.

Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Solomon L Morse as and for his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have herewith subscribed our names at his request as witnesses in the presence of the said testator and of each other.
