Augustus J. Pequignot spent most of his life farming, buying and selling horses. and logging.
He was also known as Gusty, he and his sons would travel to Ohio and Indiana to purchase horses and bring them back to sell. Most of the people in the area bought the work horses from him. Gusty was known for keeping his horses harness polished right up, there harnesses always had G.J. Pequignot inscribed in them.
