The Order of the Eastern Star is the women's organization affiliated with the Masons. Initially I found very few O.E.S. flagholders, but now I am finding a very great variety of them. They are full of a numerous symbols which vary marker to marker.

This is a present day version of a flagholder This tombstone engraved emblem is more commonly
found than flagholders
This is an older version of a flagholder. I have found this
in several color variations including massively rusted.
This one does not carry the OES intitials, but its
shape and insignia are the same. This version is very
tiny compared to other OES and other flagholders
in general.
This example for Chapter 12 includes the Masonic
Square and compass at its center.
This is a less fancy example of an O.E.S. flagholder.
I apologize for the "decoration." I had nothing with me
to clean it off before photographing it. We all know "it"
happens and "it" happens a LOT to flagholders and
tombstones in the cemetery. Birds love the park like
environment of the cemetery and live very healthy
lives there.
