While big vegetables sounds like a good thing, the barns and sheds and storage cellars could not handle the abundance.

There's no getting these apples into the storage barrels. This is the second time Johnson used this title. He first used it in 1909 for a pile of apples transported by a car. He also uses apples in A Bunch of Apples, and The Cider Mill.
