Joyce Tice,
I have been using the Tri-Counties website to research the Mansfield
Classical-State Normal School. My husband's great grandmother, Sarah Kern
Grist is listed as a 1868 alumni of Mansfield State Normal School. I have
also found information on her father, M.L. Kern who was a Methodist Episcopal
minister in the Tri-Counties area. Thank you so much for providing this
information and helping me make ancestors more that just a name.
As a thank you for the information I have received from the site I would
like to offer some photos. I have several group photos that I believe are
Sarah's classmates (and possibly instructors) taken by Spencer's
Gallery of Art in Mansfield. The only identification on the photos
are of Sarah.
