This is a bible record kept by Phebe Ann Campbell in her handwriting. The Bible was left in the possession of Nephi Lorin Campbell, Phebe’s son, and his wife Jemima Helen Godfrey. Lorin died first and Jemima left it to their only daughter, Myrtle C. Swainston. It is now in the possession of Margaret Loosle, daughter of Myrtle.

Joyce,
I have enjoyed your site for a couple of
years. I have done much research on it, and it is about time that I make a
contribution. I am contributing a bible record from my 2nd Great Grandmother
Phebe Ann Campbell. She was part of the large Campbell clan that lived in
Ridgebury Twp., Bradford Co. and Catlin, Chemung Co.
As a sidelight, Phebe's brother Jared Campbell married a Polly Tice, daughter of a Jonathan Tice of Chemung Co. Possibly a relative of yours??
