Jerry gone to Florida. Could not fly as planes are grounded because of bad weather. Ada hurt some. Accident happened Jan. 5

Very cold. Did not have church because furnace would not start. Joan and Bob and Roland's here to dinner. Both cookers going strong.

Monday, January 9, 1950

Went to Mansfield to get egg cases as Snow Hill truck not coming. Got Harry new shoes. A lot warmer.

Tuesday, January 10, 1950

Thawed up again. Frank to be bearer at funeral. Roland to stand by.

Wednesday, January 11, 1950

Shirley took me to Elmira to Carl's house. The body had come. He looks very natural.

Thursday, January 12, 1950

Carl's funeral to-day. Many beautiful flowers. A very large funeral. We went with Roland's folks.

Went up to Shirley's. Harlo came home with us.

Saturday, January 14, 1950

Joan home. Lois working.

Sunday, January 15, 1950

Went to church. Jim Roland's folks and Bob here to dinner.

Did my washing on the porch. Windy.

Tuesday, January 17, 1950

Am coming down with dreadful cold. Sent 7 cases to G.L. Got 33 1/2 cents last week. Still windy.

Wednesday, January 18, 1950

Cold bad. An extension meeting at Mildred's. I could not go because of cold.

Thursday, January 19, 1950

Took anahist for cold. Enough better so I went to W.S.C.S. meeting at Nellie Tears. A good crowd.

Friday, January 20, 1950

Went to Mansfield. Anniversary Day at Farm Store. Quite a crowd. Joined blanket club at Judges.

Saturday, January 21, 1950

Martha and Wayne here in p.m. While mother went to doctor. Joan came home last night.

Sunday, January 22, 1950

Joan came in about 6:30. She and Bob had been in an accident. Tipped over in their Kaiser. No one hurt. Rev. Giles talked at church on H.P. Very interesting.

Monday, January 23, 1950

Got my washing done but not dry. Raining. Frank's birthday. Got him some dress gloves. Also got new long table cloth.

Tuesday, January 24, 1950

Roland building doors for Robyler barn. Joan came home for day off to-morrow. Bob rented a car.

Wednesday, January 25, 1950

Study Club at the parsonage. Weather very warm but we enjoyed the meeting. Earl Tice very bad.

Not much doing. Harlo helped me sew rug rags. Also helped tear them.

Friday, January 27, 1950

Shirley and I took baked beans and brown bread to Earl Tice's and made a call. Florence says Earl is better.

Saturday, January 28, 1950

Finished income tax blank. Frank's and Roland's here to dinner. Frank not feeling well.

Sent Income blanks. Went to Mansfield. Cold here.

Went to Mansfield.

Tuesday, January 31, 1950

Went to church. Rev. Giles served communion. Jim, Lois and Louise down. I am not feeling too well. Mirromatic still going.

Joan came home for day off.

Thursday, February 2, 1950

Joan and I went to Nellie Mudge's to extension meeting. Old Bear did not see shadow.

Friday, February 3, 1950

Dorothy and I went to Grange. Plans for new grange hall partly made. Got Roland an electric corn popper.

Saturday, February 4, 1950

Lois cleaned. I did not feel well.

Sunday, February 5, 1950

Went to church. Heard there Geo. Bardwell died of a heart attack sat. nite.

Monday, February 6, 1950

The men from the novelty arrived to lay the new linoleum in the kitchen. Joan home for day off.

Tuesday, February 7, 1950

New linoleum looks nice. Shirley took Joan back about noon.

Wednesday, February 8, 1950

Went to George Bardwell's funeral with Anna Wood. Men did not work all day, just part.

Thursday, February 9, 1950

W.S.C.S. meeting at church. A good crowd.

Friday, February 10, 1950

Carpenters finished the work. Looks nice.

Saturday, February 11, 1950

Lois helped to clean up house after carpenters.

Sunday, February 12, 1950

Went to church. Glen Barret spoke on "Race Relations." Very good. Dedication of bulletin board in evening. Very nice.

A lot of wet snow coming down.

Tuesday, February 14, 1950

Not much doing.

Wednesday, February 15, 1950

Sunny and snow is melting. Postponed extension meeting. Only 5 cases of hatch eggs.

Pancake supper at church. Benefit of new grange hall. Proceeds about $50. Joan home to go.

Saturday, February 18, 1950

Joan went back with Mollie and Frank as Mollie went to doctors.

Went to church. Frank's and Roland's here to dinner.

Monday, February 20, 1950

Nellie Mudge and I made out slips for the George Bardwell's sale. Planned for 200.

Tuesday, February 21, 1950

Joan came home after the dance given them by the doctors. Neal with here. Dance at Carpenters Hall.

Wednesday, February 22, 1950

Bob could not get car so ken took Joan and Neal back. Stormed some more.

Thursday, February 23, 1950

Roads rather icy. Reading "Toward the Morning." Dyed some rug rags rust and wine.

Friday, February 24, 1950

Went to Mansfield with Shirley to call on Ada who is at Shaw's to make a visit. She is rather confused.

Cold weather. Not much going on.

Sunday, February 26, 1950

Went to church. A small crowd as it was cold and dirt roads quite bad.

Monday, February 27, 1950

Getting meat ready for sale. Went up to Frank's a few minutes.

Tuesday, February 28, 1950

George Bardwell's sale. W.S.C.S. served the dinner. About $115 clear. A big crowd in spite of snowy roads.

Wednesday, March 1, 1950

Went to Grant Lewis' funeral. Sold hens to Jackson at 24 cents per lb. Not laying.

Thursday, March 2, 1950

Came down with a dreadful cold Wed. night. Just sick.

Friday, March 3, 1950

Joan came home last night and brought the w. test kit. I have 4+ sugar.

Saturday, March 4, 1950

Went to see Doc. Boyer yesterday. He put me on a strict diet. No starch or sugar.

Went to church. Few there. Jays, Louis and Louise down. My cold is better.

Monday, March 6, 1950

The 1500 pullet chicks finally came. In bad shape. Don't know where they had been.

Tuesday, March 7, 1950

The beef is at the locker. Roland's folks got theirs from Mudges. Martha still a pill but a nice kid.

Went to Mansfield and ordered yarn for a sweater.

A dreadful cold blustery day. Postponed W.S.C.S. meeting.

Went to church. Joan and Bob went to Mansfield to church. Jim's folks started south.

Washed. No sugar in my system.

Extension meeting at Loretta's. I am feeling lots better.

W.S.C.S. meeting at church. Tied a quilt for Rose's niece. I have to finish it. New jello for sale.

Went to Elmira with Roland's. I got a new green rayon suit and green shoes. Paige and Bette sold their house.

Kind of tired to-day. Lois gone to Danville to visit a hospital.

Went to church. Not too many there.

Bob came this morning to paint kitchen. I washed. A nice day.

Went to Troy to see Dr. No sugar. Can eat 10% veg. Clarice's 4th birthday. Got her a dress. Blood pressure down.
